Steve Wilde

Born sometime in the sixties, singer songwriter Steve Wilde was pivotal in the development of culture surrounding the Summer of Weird

With the aid of Beautiful guitarist Paul Ryan he recorded Sweetest Thing under the name of Elegant Thrash in 1986.

This led to the auditioning of Andy Meakin and Tim Whittington from the Midlands for the posts of drummer and bassist in the newly formed Loved Ones. Meakin eventually moved to London joined the band in 1987.

For the next three years Wilde fronted the band, with various personel changes, until its final demise at the Cartoon on Croydon.

Steve then formed a succession of bands such as High Horses, Novocaine,Sour & Spudgun

In 1999 Wilde abandoned the idea of a performing band, went digital and started recording with ex Loved Ones bass player Kevin Phillips.

KSX became the outlet for their breaks and beats and otherwise harder material, whereas Porntsar represented their funkier offerings.

However, Wilde was also creating compositions that did not fit into either of these categories and in 2001 released a collection of recordings under the name of "Starck" entitled "Hyperreal and Supercool".

This was followed by his second offering in 2002 "Advanced Emotional Engineering".

In 2007 still under the Starck identity Wilde released his third offering "Me + +"
